I found your blog after searching for a way to remove the end bushing and rushed back to the garage hoping that I hadn't lost it forever. Luckily it was right on top of my work bench, so crisis averted!<br /><br />I'm leaning towards not removing the end bushing since it's in pretty good shape, though there's always that temptation when everything is apart.
